Abstract

In this study a tool was designed that aims to facilitate the work of PMI officers in the homogenization or mixing process. In the blood transfusion process there is a tool used to help the transfusion process take place, namely the Blood Bag Shaker. This tool serves to weigh the blood that enters the blood bag and then homogenizes or mixes it automatically. During the homogenization process, the anticoagulant substance and donor blood will mix together, which aims to prevent blood clots or blood clots from occurring. This blood bag shaker is controlled by a microcontroller, namely Arduino Uno and uses a Servo Motor actuator TD8120MG as the driving force for the blood bag container which aims to homogenize or mix at a predetermined speed based on blood weight (250 gr, 350 gr, 450 gr). and use the Loadcell Sensor to weigh the blood weight. In the results of the research trials conducted measuring the speed of the motor obtained with a weight of 250 grams at 36 rpm, 350 grams at 47.9 rpm and 450 grams at 55.2 rpm. As for the weight measurement results, the smallest error proportion was obtained on a 250 gram weight measurement of 1.6% and for the largest error proportion measurement results on a 350 gram weight measurement of 4.1%. Then the average proportion of errors in measurement with a weight of 250 gr, 350 gr, 450 gr, is 2.8%.
