Abstract

The availability of animal feed in the form of quality pellets is a success factor in the livestock industry and is the largest component in livestock business with the hope that the pellets produced can help the livestock economy. During the long dry season, it is difficult to find green grass in the supply of feed, so it can be replaced with pellets. This study aims to modify the pellet molding machine using 4 rolls vertically to produce pellets with a diameter of 8 and a length of 15 mm. The design method used in this design refers to VDI 2222. Based on the data modifications made, this pellet molding machine modification uses a 4 roll crusher system with a 1: 3 pulley and belt transmission system. Test results on machine modifications with a load of producing pellets and size various.
