Banana tree is one of the underutilized plants and is considered as plantation waste. Not many people know that this waste from banana trees has a selling value and can be used as a business that has promising profits. Processing of banana trees as animal feed or fertilizer is still done manually. The purpose of the design of the banana tree chopper machine is to speed up the process of chopping banana trees so that the chopped results can be used as animal feed or organic fertilizer. The banana tree chopper machine is designed using 2 (two) blades that are connected together. The drive system uses a combustion engine with a power of 7.5 HP. The trial was carried out on 3 (three) banana trees with a length of 180 cm each and the largest diameter of 15 cm each. The test results showed that one banana tree takes an average of 1,667 minutes to chop. And the chopped mass of one banana tree is 7.6 kg. So that the chopping capacity obtained from the banana tree chopper machine is 273.55 kg/hour with a thickness of less than 2 cm chopping results.
