Abstract

Coconut plants are one of the agricultural products in the Bangka Belitung Islands. Several processing of coconut plants, coconut husks are often processed into cocopeat and cocofiber. However, it takes about 10 days to process 5 kg of coconut husks into cocopeat and cocofiber, which is quite time-consuming. To solve this problem, a machine has been designed to process coconut husks into cocopeat and cocofiber using the VDI 2222 design method. This machine has a size of 1300x520x953, 2.4 kW gasoline engine at 3,600 rpm, and uses a pulley and belt for its transmission. With a capacity of 5-10 kg/hour, equipped with 38 cutting blades for processing, and two portable pushing blades, which can process coconut husks into cocopeat and cocofiber more efficiently.
