Abstract

In modern technology, long-distance data transmission systems that involve cables as a transmission medium are now starting to switch to wireless transmission technology. It is due to limited mobility, installation costs and expensive maintenance of conventional wiring installations. Wired media have been replaced with wireless technology. One of the wireless technologies is LoRa. LoRa is a long-range wireless technology to transmit various data. In this research, a sensor data transmission system was created that uses LoRa technology to transmit data. The sensor used is the PZEM-004T sensor, which is a sensor for measuring voltage, current, power, energy, frequency, and power factor. The results of this system, data transmission as far as 595m tested in residential areas, resulted in a delay of 591 milliseconds with RSSI signal strength of -115 dBi and no packets lost during the data transmission process. The system as a whole runs effectively within a distance of 595m, data transmission does not experience significant obstacles.
