The AJ200E lathe machine is one of the practical tools used in the Mechanical Laboratory of the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic. The carriage component of this machine suffered damage due to a lack of maintenance, such as rust and missing mechanical parts. This project aims to carry out corrective and preventive maintenance on the carriage, specifically focusing on the saddle, guideways, and cross slide, using methods such as observation, 5 Why analysis, repair implementation, and preventive maintenance planning. Test results show that the carriage has returned to normal function, although not perfectly, and an annual maintenance program has been developed to prevent similar damage.
