Abstract

This study discusses the corrective maintenance of a CoreXY-type 3D printer experiencing excessive vibration during the printing process. Excessive vibration negatively impacts print quality, resulting in uneven lines, rough surfaces, and reduced dimensional accuracy. The repair process involved identifying vibration sources and inspecting mechanical components such as belts, pulleys, stepper motors, and the machine frame. Corrective actions included adjusting belt tension, installing dampers on stepper motors, and reinforcing the frame structure. Post-maintenance vibration testing and print quality analysis were conducted. The results showed a significant reduction in vibration levels and improved print quality. This corrective maintenance highlights the importance of early intervention in vibration issues to maintain performance and reliability in 3D printing systems.
