Hospital food distribution requires a system capable of maintaining food temperatures to meet safety standards until the food reaches the patient. Temperature drops during distribution can compromise food quality; therefore, an automated heating system with real time monitoring capabilities is essential. This study aimed to design and construct an Internet of Things (IoT) based heated food trolley utilizing an ESP32 microcontroller, a DHT22 sensor, a PTC heater, an axial fan, and a Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC) method. The monitoring system employs the Blynk application, enabling temperature and humidity tracking via smartphone. The research methodology encompassed requirements identification, mechanical and electronic design, software development, FLC implementation, system assembly, and performance testing. Test results demonstrated that the system successfully reached a setpoint temperature of 61°C and achieved stability within approximately 10 seconds. The DHT22 sensor exhibited an accuracy rate of 99.1-99.9% when compared to a reference measuring instrument. The FLC implementation effectively automated the PTC heater's operation to maintain the desired temperature range, while the Blynk application successfully displayed real-time temperature and humidity data. The findings indicate that the developed system is capable of maintaining food temperatures during distribution and offers superior monitoring convenience compared to systems relying solely on heating elements without IoTbased monitoring.
