SISTEM PENGAMANAN SMART LOCKER HELM BERBASIS AUTENTIKASI SIDIK JARI DAN KARTU TANDA MAHASISWA

Abstract

Helmet theft on university campuses remains a problem because conventional storage systems do not provide adequate security. This study aims to design and implement a smart helmet locker security system based on dual authentication using biometric fingerprint identification and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID)-based Student Identity Cards. The system was developed using an ESP32 integrated with an RFID RC522 module, an AS608 fingerprint sensor, a relay module, a solenoid door lock, an LCD, and a Telegram Bot. The research methodology included a literature review, requirements analysis, system design, implementation, and evaluation using system testing and black-box testing. The test results showed an RFID reading success rate of 100% and a fingerprint authentication success rate of 95%. The average access response time was 1.2 seconds, while the solenoid door lock opening time was 3 seconds. Communication between the ESP32 Master and ESP32 Slave achieved a 100% data transmission success rate. The results indicate that the proposed system enhances access security, simplifies monitoring, and provides a safer and more reliable helmet storage solution for university campuses.
