Abstract

This study aims to design and implement a Photovoltaic (PV)-Based DC-DC Converter Trainer Kit as a learning medium for Buck, Boost, and Buck-Boost Converter systems. The research method consists of system design, implementation, testing, and performance analysis. The results show that the developed trainer kit operates according to the characteristics of each converter: the Buck Converter reduces the output voltage, the Boost Converter increases the output voltage, and the Buck-Boost Converter is capable of both increasing and decreasing the output voltage as required. Therefore, the trainer kit can be used as an effective practical learning medium to enhance students' understanding of DC-DC converter systems in photovoltaic (PV) applications.
