Abstract

Utilizing renewable energy is an important solution to meet the need for sustainable and environmentally friendly electrical energy. One of the increasingly developed small-scale hydroelectric power generation technologies is the Archimedes Screw Turbine (AST). Modifying the Archimedes screw turbine in the transmission system and inlet duct to produce the desired rotational speed and power. The results of the modification process are determined by measuring the rpm and power generated. The implementation method used in this research begins with problem identification, data collection, analysis of the previous machine, the modification process, testing, data analysis, conclusions, and completion. The results of the testing process obtained a turbine rotation of 448 rpm and a generator output power of 26.88 volts.
