Abstract

The process of squeezing coconut milk by Mr. Cahyo is still done manually. 6 Coconuts that have been grated are mixed with ± 0.5 liters of water and then squeezed by hand with a cloth to produce coconut milk. Then after the coconut milk is produced, it is squeezed repeatedly up to 3 or 4 times until the grated coconut no longer produces coconut milk. This study aims to design and build a coconut milk squeezer machine that can produce ± 1.5 liters of coconut milk in ± 5 minutes. Furthermore, the process of making the machine, assembling the coconut milk squeezer machine, then continuing the experiment, the design results obtained a driving motor using a DC electric motor and a scissor jack as a pressing tool, the engine system using a rotary system to become a press system. From the test results, the machine is able to squeeze grated coconut with a capacity of 6 coconuts which produces coconut milk, the average test result is 1.3 liters with an average time of 1 minute 28 seconds.
