Abstract

The distribution of bottled drinking water in gallon containers in multi-story buildings faces various challenges. The 19-liter gallon, weighing around 19 kg, is often manually lifted from the first floor to the second floor. This poses risks of physical fatigue, work injuries, and reduces operational efficiency. Some of the main issues faced include: heavy loads that complicate the manual transportation process, decreased operational efficiency due to time and energy being drained, and high safety risks when carrying gallons up stairs. To address these problems, a lifting tool with a pulley system capable of safely and efficiently lifting gallons to a certain height is needed. This tool is designed with a VDI 2222 method approach to reduce manual workload, enhance safety, and support productivity. With this system in place, gallon distribution in multi-story buildings becomes more practical and organized, and the workforce can be redirected to more value-added tasks.
