RANCANG BANGUN MESIN PENGADUK BUMBU PANTIAW SEBAGAI PENERAPAN TEKNOLOGI TEPAT GUNA

Sungailiat District, there is one of the UMKM, namely PIPIT PANTIAW, facing obstacles in the process of making spices that still use inefficient manual methods that require extra energy. The use of existing spice mixer machines is currently hampered by high costs with a price of 5-10 million rupiah per machine and the lack of effectiveness in stirring spices. This final project aims to design and build a Pantiaw spice mixer machine with a capacity of 15-20kg two hours that is economical, efficient, and uses the VDI 2222 design method which includes the planning, conceptualization, design, and completion stages. The results of this final project show that the Pantiaw spice mixer machine designed with a 0.5Hp electric motor and a 600mm stirrer dimension with a diameter of 600mm with a stirrer shaft length of 450mm is able to increase stirring efficiency, reduce labor requirements, and reduce operational costs significantly. The results of the trial of this machine are able to mix 1500-2000 grams of pantiaw seasoning in 120 minutes with 90% of the desired texture and taste of the seasoning. The implementation of this machine is expected to help MSMEs in Sungailiat District achieve food self-sufficiency and encourage economic growth in the home industry sector.
